Field Trip: Southern Accents in Cullman, Alabama

Monday, March 14, 2011

My husband and I went to Cullman this week and visited Southern Accents. We had a wonderful time looking at all the architectural antiques and goodies. Anything you could possibly want for your house and garden you can find at Southern Accents!

While there, we met the adorable Lucy.  She was so helpful, and she is also a fellow blogger! Her blog is called Lucy's Inspired.  You can see it here.

I did take several pictures at Southern Accents:

I love the colors in this stained-glass window:

Their hardware selection is incredible:

I got a crick in my neck after looking at all the beautiful antique chandeliers and light fixtures:

I enjoyed seeing art pieces and picture frames made from salvaged wood and other found pieces:

The store's window display is so cute because it is loaded with green for St. Patrick's Day!

Check out these chippy white corbels:

We did some buying, too.  Can you guess what we bought?

Until next time...

Blessings!

  2. Wow...I'm not an antiquey kind of person, but so many of those just scream 'home accent decor' and 'fun craft projects' to me. :D What did you get??

  14. Oh how I would love to have a shop like this near me. Although I am not sure that I would display much self-control. You bought the corbels, right???

  21. I'm sure you had a great time with your husband while visiting the antique store. Such moments are priceless!

I have a heart from antique stuff too. My father and I shared same interest and fascination on well preserve antique pieces.

Among the pieces you have shown I love the wooden balusters, the posh chandeliers, and the wooden cross with butterfly (I love butterflies. They are meaningful to me).

Thank you for sharing and I'm wishing you more happy moments with your family! :)
