Summertime Tablescape

Friday, June 10, 2011

I changed some accessories on the end table in our family room for summer. It is so stinkin' hot I don't even want to go outside and play.  Our hydrangeas are mad, our lawn is sad, and at this point I don't care because it is SO STINKIN' HOT!

I think I shall stay inside, make some iced tea, turn on the ceiling fan, and read.

Until next time...

  1. Good morning. In this kind of weather all we can do is hang out near the air conditioner. Going out is miserable in a car baked by the hot sun. Love your vignettes.

  3. The vignette is very pretty! I'm in Arizona and understand the "hot" issues!! For the next four months its going to be doing projects inside the house for me! Have a great weekend.

  4. It was 101 degrees here yesterday. That is cooking for NJ at this time of the year. Thankfully our usual high humidity was pleasantly absent. I don't blame you for staying inside. Stay cool, love your vignette.

  5. That frame and picture goes so perfectly with that vase and the yellow flowers. You guys are bakin' over there and we are cooler than normal here but I am not complaining. Ours is coming soon enough. The kids want it sunny so they can swim but not yet. Still too cool.

  7. I love the colors in your room with the white backdrop...you make me want to brighten up my home!

We had our heatwave and now it is cooler but very sticky. Yes, the air conditioning is staying on! Keep cool.

  9. I heard about the hot spell you guys are having there. Weird, here it's gray and gloomy also misty. Well, I do hope you'll enjoy your weekend anyway. Your tablescape is very pretty Ricki Jill, my ex-Zonie friend ;-)

  10. It looks beautiful. We are having extremely hot temps here too. If it is not raining it is so hot. We are not having a normal year here in WV.

  13. I enjoyed your pretty little tablescape.

I can't blame you for staying indoors. It's been in the 90s here & muggy (except for today, it was only 70 degrees). So if it's hot in NY, I'm sure it's even hotter in Alabama. Stay cool, my friend!
