Happy Saturday!  I am slowly but surely getting our house in order, and I am so happy to be participating in my favorite linky party, My Happy List at Dandelion Wishes.  Mamarazzi hosts several fun parties each week, and you should go over to her blog and check them out!

My Happy List

1.   I am happy to report that Shanley is home resting this weekend, and she brought two weeks' worth of laundry  :/   Having my daughter home for the weekend makes me very happy!

Shanley Belle and her roommate, Taylor Benjamin, at Greek fest last week.  Taylor pledged Gamma Phi Beta.

2.   Shelley has made some very nice friends already this school year.  I am so proud of her good choices, and she is enjoying spending the weekend with her friends.  Shelley's good choices make me happy!

3.   I received a sweet surprise in the mail this week.  I won an adorable embroidered dish towel from Puddle Jumper Creations.  Winning neat prizes on blogs makes me very happy! Thanks so much, Susie!

4.   I started a painting this week which is a total miracle.  I am hoping to get back into the art studio several days this week.  Starting new paintings makes me very, very happy!

5.   Diane honored me with a mention on her blog and the Versatile Blogger award.  If you have not read Diane's blog, Diane Wants to Write, you are missing out.  I have been following Diane's blog for quite awhile, and I simply adore Diane's voice.  Her posts are written from the heart, and she writes about her family, girlfriends, social activities, work, and beautiful locations around the Philippines. I have never visited there, but Diane's blog makes me want to visit her lovely country.  Please visit Diane Writes here.  Sweet bloggy friends make me so very happy!

  2. I'm glad your daughter is home,, bringing laundry is something we can always count on when the kids are in University,, its a given,,but the time flys by.I can remember having all three of our away at school and sometimes thinking they would never get jobs and be on thier own,,but it happened way too fast and I wished I was back under all those piles of laundry and cooking all the special things for them to take with,, I miss those days.Enjoy her now,, she will be on her own way too soon! She is lovely as well,

  11. Fabulous list. Love that you are enjoying your daughter, such a beautiful girl, like her mama.

Enjoy the painting, I love starting new projects. :)

Yay for winning, what a great job she did on the embroidery, love the unique. Dev ordered a darling camera bag on Etsy (it will be in soon and she'll post a pic) because she didn't want hers to look like everyone else's.

  18. Hi Ricki! Your daughter is so pretty and I'm so happy both of them are making good decisions! Makes being a mom so much easier!
Can't wait to see your paintings. Oh, you mentioned the Le Cruset pot? My husband just ordered me a red one. I have a red Martha Stewart one, but it's chipping and I know the quality is not the same! You know I'll pop a little chick on the handle!
    Be a sweetie,
    Shelia ;)
