For My Happy List today, I would like to tell you a story....About a Girl.....

Once upon a time, there was a girl.  She said she would *never* attend college in the South

She said there was no reason to purchase student football tickets because she would never attend a game.  She said she had rather sell them for the money because football is stupid.

Photobucket

Shanley Belle on game day at the University of Alabama...which is in the South the last time I checked.

The same little girl said that she would never pledge a sorority because she would not find a good "fit" for her.

Photobucket

Hmmmm.....Okay.....so.....aren't those your pledge sisters....at Bryant-Denny Stadium?

She also said that she would never dress up for a football game, or sit in the Greek section, and the world would end before she would wear houndstooth to an Alabama football game.

Photobucket

Ummmm....someone go and check the sky for Jesus....plus her date is wearing a bow tie with little elephants on it and crimson pants with little "A's" all over them....How much do you want to bet that he is in a fraternity sitting in the Greek section?

{Sometimes a mom just needs to entertain herself.  ;P }

I am happy because my daughter is so very happy!

My daughter is home for Thanksgiving, and this makes me very, very happy!

  9. My goodness, what a cutie you have - funny how things change as they get older. I have to say that I actually got tears in my eyes when I read your post. I hadn't realized how much I'm missing my daughter. She'll be home in about 4 weeks. I only saw her for about 4 days after I got back from India before she left for Halifax. It just wasn't long enough.

  10. She is just darling! I can't believe they dress up like that for football games! I do know that football rules the south, but while you see a "sea" of orange and blue at an Illini game, you don't see kids all decked out so cute! I loved this!! Have fun with her while you can!

    I LOVE that dress on her! Thank goodness she consented to wearing hounds tooth, because it's such a wonderful print for the Fall and Winter seasons. :D

  23. RJ, this must have been before I found your blog. I searched your blog for houndstooth to see what you meant in reference to the U of A. Always learning something new! '-)
