Getting in Touch With My Inner Child at Breakfast

Monday, April 23, 2012

I set our breakfast table with children's china, and Mr. Art @ Home thinks I have lost my mind! I miss the days when the girls were little *sadface*  I suppose that since I have been reading young adult novels lately I have been getting in touch with my inner child.  ;P

  1. Oh, I can so relate to this! I had both my children here last night for dinner and it was such a joy! This chapter is not easy. Oh, I am having a fireplace show and tell party if you are interested.

  2. If I wanted to get in touch with my inner child, I would much rather do it your way with this beautiful and fun table! Otherwise, my way would be to sing silly songs, kind of in the style of Weird Al! LOL Sometimes my kids crack up, but more often than not they just roll their eyes at me, knowing full well I'm nuts! LOL

  3. Hey! Your children's china looks suspiciously breakable and is lacking scoops-doo and Dora the explorer! How absolutely adorable! Lately, I fear that my inner child is most evident when I am whining.

  5. Your dining table is one of the best, most colorful, lively and lovely home piece I've ever seen. More than the beautiful and colorful pieces, i believe that the love that comes with each preparation makes the difference. You are a great wife and motner to admire Ricki!

  6. Ricki Jill,
I think we all go back some days to when our kids were young, so I know exactly what you mean. Everything is on the computer now, but sometimes I go back to my old photo albums and just look and remember. Your children table setting is so sweet.

  9. Oh pretty Ricky Jill, I adore your dishes, soo cute! I used to have a rooster pitcher like that from Italy, I don't know what happened to it. Love the pretty table topper you used for this lovely table too. Wow, such happy table, makes me smile! Have a blessed week.

  12. Those are awesome! Better than days of the week underpants. :D

My inner child comes out to play when I'm playing music, oddly enough. And when I'm tipsy. ;)

  14. Ricki Jill, My inner child never leaves! Spring brings out my Beatrice Potter to set a table. I think your MacKenzie Childs is adorable. Love the Anthro tablecloth, it works beautifully with the MKC pattern.
    I love this sweet post.

  17. So sweet. If I had adorable china like that I would probably use it as well. I hadn't noticed the cutlery until I read Elaine's comment above mine and then went back and looked - how cute are they!
