Musical Monday: Sweet Home Alabama

Monday, January 7, 2013

You should have seen this one coming.  The BCS National Championship Game is tonight pairing the Notre Dame Fighting Irish against the Alabama Crimson Tide.  {Roll tide!}

Before games at Bryant-Denny Stadium, Lynyrd Skynyrd's "Sweet Home Alabama" is always played...and the crowd rises and places hands over hearts  ;P

This is from a live performance in 1977.
Love the song, but I could do without the obnoxiously huge Confederate flag.

I'm sure I'll hear this song a lot today!

What have you been listening to this week?

Join Miss Angie @ Musical Monday!

Until next time...

Roll tide roll!
Ricki Jill
